I live in Flanders.
I'm starting to rp the L5R rpg and i'm interested in starting to play the L5R cardgame after years of playing Magic and Yugioh.
(if i can ever get my hands on these cards)
I just wanted to stop by and say 'hi'.

Yes they seem to be miss. I understand french so i don't mind if you speak it.
I prefer not to type it as sometimes my spelling can be a bit awful.
I read and speak more french than that i write it.

Do you all play with english versions of the cards or french versions?

english cards at most. french cards are less valuable for trading

Good. I hear that some french cards are badly translated causing ruleproblems.


How long have you been playing? Have you done the rp too miss?

I play since Dark Aliies or broken blade. I realy started play in tournament with the early begining of diamond edition. And you when had you begun?

The rpg and novels i have had for god... ages. Novels for many many years.
Third edition rpg since it came out.
Cards... none yet. Am having trouble encountering them.

Good to see new player joining the great L5r CCG community.

Regarding the cards, you have a shop that is selling those in Brussels : l'antre jeux. (near the cimetière d'Ixelles, near the VUB). Or you can make a trip to Liège at goeffrey's shop (l'autre monde).

If you are looking for players around Brussels, you have Tsuruchi Iva, and myself in Brussels, Hikari, and the dj'euns team in Nivelle, Kuso in Gembloux, and some other, but I forgot their names.

That's quite a trip (except Brussels) for me.
As i live in Flanders.
Don't even know my way in Brussels. Only pass through with the train.
But i have send an email to my gameshop, i frequently go to in Leuven (Louvain) asking wether he can get such cards.
He can get his hands on the rpg stuff... so i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

you can also buy at outpost in Antwerpen. Near the Meir, 100m by the KBC tower.

Well as for Clans i'm already a dedicated Scorpion fan (;
I've known L5R's for years now. Read the novels of Clan Wars, followed the background.
I also have the rpg for quite a while now and am working on a Scorpion Campaign.
When i finally get my hands on some cards it will be Scorpion Decks.
My younger brother favours The Scorpion Clan and the Shadowlands (Daigotsu) too.

Scorpion is a very nice pick in my humble opinion. that's one of my favorite.

But I just want to let you know : scorpion decks tend to be full of rare cards. Some of them are quite difficult to find.

Too bad no new Lion player

There will be a tournament in Maastricht in August then the world championship in Bxl (later).
Perhaps will we meet at one of these events and I will be able to give you some cards (common and uncommon + some personalities if you want).

Perhaps one day we can meet up.
As for rare cards... yeah i heard on the Scorpion forum (been on there for years now) that their decks are among the strongest but also hardest to get strong.
But since i'll just play for fun and mostly against my brother i don't mind.
